Local context
Brisbane bookings tend to fall into two camps. One is a buyer who wants a property screened before the building and pest deadline. The other is a landlord who has just had a tenancy end badly. If you are working to a contract date, tell us the date when you book and we will tell you honestly whether the laboratory turnaround fits inside it.
Unit blocks add a scheduling wrinkle, because building management usually wants notice before anyone samples in common areas. Mention the building when you book and we will handle it.
DIY testing kits
A kit is a cheaper way to satisfy your own curiosity. It is not a substitute for documented sampling.

Which kit suits Brisbane
Older timber homes in the inner and western suburbs are worth a word of warning. Porous surfaces, original paint and open roof cavities hold residue in ways a rendered modern build does not, so a single whole-property sample is more likely to average a real problem away. If the property is pre-1980s and you already suspect something, start with the multi-room kit rather than a single screen.

Common questions
Often, yes, but it depends on the date. On-site sampling can usually be scheduled quickly; the laboratory analysis is the part with a fixed clock. Give us your contract date up front and we will tell you whether it fits before you commit.
For sampling inside your own lot, no. If common areas are involved, most Brisbane buildings want notice first. Tell us the building when you book and we will work around their requirements.
Assume not. Because you collect the samples yourself, a kit does not carry independent chain of custody, which is what QCAT (the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal) would generally expect. For a dispute, book documented on-site sampling instead.
Before you order
Where a test includes laboratory work, the analysis is carried out by a NATA-accredited laboratory and you receive a written result.
Kits post to any Australian address with everything needed to take the sample, including step-by-step instructions.
We will tell you when a kit is not the right tool for your situation, even when that means not selling you one.
