Will a DIY kit result be accepted in a tenancy dispute?
Assume not. Because you collect the samples yourself, a kit does not carry independent chain of custody, which is what VCAT (the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal) would generally expect. A dispute needs a certified tester to attend, and we will say so rather than sell you a kit that cannot do the job.
Can somebody attend my property?
Not yet. Our certified technicians work in South East Queensland. Kits post to Victoria normally and guided support is available on a booked call.
Which kit should I choose?
It depends on the age of the property more than its size. Sealed modern surfaces sample evenly, so a screen kit gives a readable first answer. Older porous surfaces hold residue unevenly, which is where covering several rooms earns its price. The page for your area gives a specific recommendation.
